In the Pridelands, Ahadi and Uru reign and look after their two sons. To the north, the small Intaba Pride lives in the mountains, wondering how to make their pride grow. To the east, the huge Amanzi Pride rules the river with full bellies. In the west, the Amashwa Pride struggles to catch enough prey. Rogues gather in the dessert to the south, and in the Elephant Graveyard, the hyenas plot revenge against all lions.
What role will you play, and where will you start?
Grand re-opening! Welcome Guest! You're welcome to give feedback on the changes, and that includes talking about what you like and what you don't like.
King Mohatu's reign has finally come to an end. He will always be remembered as the king who banished the hyenas, and the king that united the Amashwa Pride with his own Ndona Pride by betrothing his son and heir Ahadi to the Amashwa princess, Uru.
Mohatu has passed the kingdom on to Ahadi and Uru. Since Uru was a princess in her own pride, she is the first lioness in the Pridelands to be called Queen. She and Ahadi are very much in love, much to the kingdoms' delight. They've been King and Queen for several seasons, and by now they have two cubs: Mufasa, who is two years old, and little Taka, who is just a year old. Mufasa has started learning the basics of being King and Taka is just starting to play with the other cubs.
As for affairs outside of the Pridelands, the hyena clan that Mohatu banished are bitter and plot their return to power in the elephant graveyard.
To the north, in the mountains, the tiny Intaba Pride lives in peaceful neutrality with the other prides. They cause no trouble as long as the others don't bother them.
In the Riverlands to the east, the large Amanzi Pride flourish - as long as they aren't attacked by the crocodiles or hippos that share their territory. Ahadi and the Amanzi King have agreed to unite their kingdoms by betrothing Ahadi's son, Mufasa, to the Amanzi Princess, Sarabi. They visit each other regularly so that the cubs can nurture a relationship.
To the west in the Greenlands, Uru's parents still rule the small Amashwa Pride. While food is plentiful there, the lush and ever-green grass is difficult for a lion to blend into, thus making hunting a challenge.
South, in the Desertlands, a few small groups of bachelors and single rogues patrol, searching for food or a pride that will take them in.
I'll update the plot as it progresses, so stay tuned!
